Participants will live with a roommate from the program in a double occupancy room in Naismith Hall on the University of Kansas campus. 

Naismith is a privately owned residence hall with its own dining service. The location of Naismith Hall is as good as KU residence halls and the residents of Naismith Hall are KU students. In Naismith you will share your room with another person and share your bathroom with your roommate and the residents of the adjoining room. Naismith Hall also has its own workout facility and small swimming pool.

Naismith Hall Aminities

  • You will live in a 4-person suite, two 2-person rooms connected by a bathroom
  • Each person will have a lofted bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet.
  • The hall has a central living room area where students can gather to socialize, watch TV, play games and study.
  • Laundry facilities are located in the building.
  • You will be provided with sheets, a blanket, a pillow and a towel for use during your program.
  • On-site fitness center
  • Swimming pool and sun deck
  • Community kitchen
  • 24-hour computer lab
  • In-room housekeeping

Naismith Hall Cafe

Although Naismith Hall has a small kitchen facility, you are required to have a Naismith Hall dining plan. This dining plan can only be used in the Naismith dining hall. 

  • Participants will be provided 19 meals per week.
  • During the week, breakfast and dinner will be provided in the Naismith Hall Cafe which features food-court style service, all-you-care-to-eat at each meal and a large dining area.
  • For lunch during the week, you will be provided with funds on your KUID card so that you can use to eat at restaurants on campus.
  • On the weekends, two meals a day (brunch & dinner) will be provided in the Naismith hall Cafe.
