Providing Intercultural Education Experiences for Students & Professionals

International Short Programs (ISP) is a unit within the division of International Affairs at the University of Kansas. Our team has more than 20 years of experience partnering with academic and administrative units across campus to design, facilitate, and deliver programs for groups of international students, scholars, and professionals. ISP is deeply committed to the success of every program and every participant. We strive to provide positive intercultural education experiences and wrap-around support that considers the whole person - from before our participants arrive until after they return home.

English Language and Culture Programs

International Short Programs (ISP) partners with KU partner universities and not-for-profit international education organizations to design, facilitate, and deliver customized English language and culture short programs according to a group’s needs and goals.

Pre-Academic Programs

International Short Programs (ISP) partners with not-for-profit international education organizations to design, facilitate and deliver academic, intensive English language and professional training as well as social and cultural orientation for undergraduate and graduate students and professionals.

International Short Programs (ISP) partners with not-for-profit international education organizations to design, facilitate and deliver programs that provide English language enrichment and practice in TESOL methodology as well as exposure to U.S. culture and society and the local public education system.

Discipline Specific Programs

International Short Programs (ISP) partners with academic and administrative units across the university in the design, facilitation, and delivery of short programs in their discipline for visiting international students, groups, and professionals. Certificates of participation are awarded at the end of the program.
