Agritourism

Visit the wide variety of Kansas agriculture, the state's strongest economic sector. Whether a group wants to simply meet American farmers and their animals, go harvest their own food, or learn the details of large-scale farming, there is no better area for that than Kansas.

Immersed in KU spirit and less than an hour from downtown Kansas City, there are plenty of entertainment options for groups of all sizes and ages. Sports, festivals, shopping, and concerts are only just a few available at any time of the year.

Visit the vast prairie lands of Kansas, hike the local hills, and learn about the ecology of the region that makes Kansas and the Midwest unique. Each of the four seasons in Kansas are an opportunity to explore the outdoors.

Experiencing life in an American home is a good way to feel immersed in the culture of the United States. ISP has a community of host families in the area who are ready to welcome our participants into their homes.

Holidays & Traditions

U.S. holidays come with their own history and traditions. If the time of year allows, ISP will ensure program members can participate in the holidays and traditions they want to experience.

KU-Sponsored Events

For the majority of the year, the KU campus is a hub of activity and events. Sports, presentations, and other activities are always happening. ISP can involve program participants in KU events like attending a KU basketball game, participating in a festival, or going to networking events.
