Higher Education Immersion Programs
Higher Education Immersion with ISP
Higher Education Immersion programs consist of a cohort of participants from outside of the United States who want to learn about and have experience in the culture of higher education in the United States.
"Taking KU classes not only helped improving my English skill, but also inspired me to study hard."
Ideal Time & Length
To take full advantage of KU resources, faculty, and student activity, the best time of year to have a higher education immersion program is either during the Spring (mid-January to mid-May) or Fall (mid-September to mid-December) Term. In addition, we recommend program lengths of around 4 to 16 weeks so students have some time to integrate and be comfortable in the vibrant KU community.
The U.S. University Experience
As a large public university in the middle of the country, the University of Kansas has an active and thriving community of students, faculty, and staff. ISP can help program participants join clubs, meet with instructors, and otherwise take advantage of the dynamic campus and environment during their time at KU.
The College Town Life
With two universities within its city limits and two more nearby, Lawrence, Kansas is a lively college town known for its music scene, restaurants, and events that aid in creating an active and welcoming community that supports all facets of the higher education experience.
