  • Business Research Tutorial

ISP arranged for high-level English-speaking participants to audit a pre-existing KU business class with a supplemental AEC class dedicated to ensuring participants were comprehending the reading and lecture material. Course names were:

  • BUS 602: The Legal Aspects of Business
  • BUS 602 Adjunct

Lower-level English speakers enrolled in pre-existing AEC language courses, including:

  • Speaking and Listening for Academic Purposes
  • Grammar in Communication

Additionally, ISP facilitated several trips to businesses in the community so the participants had opportunities to apply what they were learning to the real world.

ISP arranged for participants to live in on-campus dormitories, around degree-seeking KU and AEC students. The participants also had access to a KU dining plan and often ate at Mrs. E's, an "all-you-care-to-eat" cafeteria on campus that serves most KU dormitories.

ACI participants had access to the following:

  • 24/7 emergency support
  • AEC staff & services
  • KU Libraries
  • KU Recreation Center
