The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Pre-Academic Forum

What is the Forum?

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a Fulbright Exchange program specifically for leaders in various fields mostly in the Global South. The Fellowship provides leadership and professional development at U.S. higher education institutions and a network of experts with the goal of creating sustainable change in their fields in their home countries. Each year, 25-30 Fellows come to the University of Kansas for 8 weeks before the official start of the Fellowship to gain experience at a U.S. higher education. As part of this "pre-academic" program, the Fellows have put together presentations about a part of the topic they will spend the next academic year studying.

The Forum will be in person and virtual.

In person: Room 100, Stauffer-Flint Hall on the Lawrence campus

Virtual options will include a Zoom broadcast (registration required) for people interested in participating in the Q&A sessions and an open livestream for those that just want to watch.

The 2024 Forum will be July 22, 23, and 24 from 9:00am to about 12:00pm each day.

More detailed schedules are available below.

(Please note all times are in local Central Time.)
