Higher Education Immersion programs consist of a cohort of participants from outside of the United States looking to learn about and have experience in the culture of higher education in the United States.

Ideal Time & Length

To take full advantage of KU resources and faculty, the best time of year to have a higher education immersion program is either during the spring (January to May) or fall (September - December) term. We recommend program lengths of around 4 to 16 weeks.

Experience U.S. University Life

As a large public university, the University of Kansas has an active and thriving community of students, faculty, and staff. ISP can help program participants join clubs, meet with instructors, and otherwise take advantage of a dynamic campus.

With two universities in its city limits and two more nearby, Lawrence, Kansas is a lively college town known for its music scene, restaurants, and events that aid in creating an active higher education community.
